Bishop Nicholas DiMarzio is asking the faithful in Brooklyn and Queens to support parishioners and parishes in the Diocese of Brooklyn affected by Hurricane Ida by contributing to a voluntary second collection at Mass this weekend, Sept. 25.
“We have all seen the painful images, and in fact many of our parishes and parishioners have been directly affected by the enormous rain and flooding caused by Hurricane Ida,” Bishop DiMarzio said in a statement. “Our hearts and prayers go out to all those affected by this terrible disaster.”
