December, 2016
Dear Friends in Christ:
Hoping each of you enjoy a memorable and spirit-lifting Christmas season, I wish to extend my greetings and prayers to you and your family for a peace-filled 2017.
Thanks to your support, Catholic Foundation for Brooklyn and Queens continued to provide the programs of the Diocese of Brooklyn with much-needed support necessary to fulfill its mission in 2016. At the core of our Foundation is the understanding that we must prepare for the future of our diocese by “welcoming the stranger” through the activities of Catholic Migration Services, evangelizing our youth through the Catholic Youth Ministry Initiative and supporting our parishes and clergy. However, we cannot do any of this alone and must rely on your generosity.
If you supported the Catholic Foundation in 2016, I thank you for your generosity. If you have yet to do so, I hope you may reflect on the gifts God has given you and find a way to give back through your charity to others by visiting www.CatholicFoundationBQ.org or by calling 718-965-7375. I commend all of you for being committed to our Foundation and the people we serve.
I once again thank you, and please know that you will be remembered in my Christmas prayers – please remember me in yours!
In Christ’s Peace,
Rev. Monsignor Jamie J. Gigantiello
Vicar for Development
R.C. Diocese of Brooklyn
