For the first time, the Annual Catholic Appeal, the Diocese of Brooklyn’s annual fundraising campaign, will help fund youth ministry in the diocese. The announcement was made at a donor forum at the same time the Generations of Faith, the diocese’s capital campaign that was launched in 2015, said it has collected more than $80 million
Pledges for the campaign, which includes money not yet collected, total more than $120 million. The money for the youth ministry will be used by parishes to hire full-time or part-time youth ministers and to train them.
The Annual Catholic Appeal 2020 kicks off in February with a new theme “We are the Church, TOGETHER”.
